Nature's Lesson: Why Slowing Down Might Be Your Fastest Path Forward!

What is going on fellow adventurers! Ever tried making coffee while camping and realizing that it takes forever? Well, that was me, just the other day, out in the wild outdoors. I was fixing myself a cup of  glorious coffee over a campfire, and it hit me—I mean, really hit me—that this was going to take much longer than expected. But as I sat there, wondering how I could speed things up by chopping more wood or tossing extra charcoal, I had a revelation.

The Coffee Epiphany

All that extra effort to hasten my coffee experience wasn't really worth it. Everything has to catch fire and heat up naturally, I thought. So, instead of rushing, I decided to just sit back, relax, and dive into my journal for a bit. That’s when I remembered my frantic attempt to set up a new email account just a few days earlier.

The Email Frenzy

Picture this: me, losing my mind, cussing, banging on my camping chair, and ready to call every expert I knew just to get that email set up. But now, while camping, I found out the issue somehow got fixed on its own! This got me thinking—if I had just let things be, I wouldn't have stressed out, and I definitely would've been nicer to the helpful folks who assisted me. Crazy, right?

Embrace the Chill:

So here’s the nugget of wisdom I want to share with you: Sometimes, we just need to chill. When we're pushing too hard, it might be better to ease up and let things play out naturally. Trust the process.

The Sweet sweet Benefits of Letting Go:

  1. Less Stress: By focusing on the things we can control, we calm our minds and lighten our mood. Which leaves space for introspection and leisure.
  2. Better Relationships: We show up as better representatives of ourselves and we are better equipped to treat others kindly when we’re not in panic mode.
  3. Saves Energy: We stop wasting energy on things that will resolve on their own.

What's Your Hurry?

Think about it. Are there areas in your life that could use a little more “chill” in your approach? Next time life feels hectic, pause and ask yourself, “Is this really worth the hustle?” Let things happen, and enjoy the ride. Be cool, and talk at you later.

Peace✌️
